Consulting Actuary

Rex DuringtonRex M. Durington, FSA, MAAA, joined the firm in November 2010. Rex has been a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries since 2001 as well as a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries since 1982. Rex heads the Health Insurance Consulting practice for the firm.

Rex earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics in 1978 from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Rex has enjoyed 30+ years as a life & health actuary. Prior to joining the firm, Rex spent the last 9 years as the Chief Actuary at National States Insurance Company, where he was responsible for all actuarial duties for all lines of Accident & Health (Medicare Supplement, Home Health & Long Term Care) and Life (Final Expense) business. Prior to 2001, Rex served as Chief Actuary for a life and annuity company, as well as Consulting Actuary for Milliman USA. During his career, Rex has gained extensive knowledge and wide experience in rate development, experience analysis, regulatory filings, financial examinations and pricing life and A&H products.
